“Reading” in the New Year
Belgrade Central School is ringing in the New Year with lots of reading! On January 3, they kicked off a schoolwide Read-A-Thon. They set a goal of 10,000 minutes of reading at home and at school during the month of January. During the event, the entire school read poems for 5 minutes to earn the first 1,200 minutes of reading for the month! After 5 days, BCS students had already logged 11,000 minutes of reading at home and at school. The school already earned their goal of a sledding party with cocoa sponsored by the incredible PTO! They will now work to reach 40,000 for another prize! Students can also earn books in a raffle for their reading dedication! There are even more surprises in store for Belgrade readers! #WeAreRSU18
