It’s that time of year again! The Rural (Masonic) Lodges of Sidney and Mt.Vernon are teaming up to host the program called Bikes For Books. Bikes For Books is a reading incentive program for grades Kindergarten through Fifth at Belgrade Central School. Bikes For Books is very simple, each student is asked to read as many books as they can in a set amount of time. For every book a child reads, they fill out an entry form with their teacher and put it into a drawing for a new bike. Sometime mid May to early June, we will draw one ticket for a boy and one ticket for a girl from each grade and these children will win a new bike and helmet. The more books they read, the more chances they get.
