Students at Belgrade Central School recently completed a Read-A-Thon with the goal of reading 110,000 minutes over the course of a month. If they were able to meet their goal, they would earn cosmic bowling sessions! The students read 126,000 minutes and the gymnasium turned into a bowling alley! Every class had time bowling, dancing, and having a blast! Thank you to Ms. McGuan for setting this up in such a cool way! #WeAreRSU18
This beautiful bird mask was created by fourth grader, Cora Gagne, in art class at Belgrade Central School. Made from a cereal box and painted with tempera paint, the dazzling mask delights the eye with color and animation! Cora explained that when she set the beak into the space she’d cut for it, that the beak moved! ” I liked that movement,” Cora said. She explained that she figured out how to keep the animation by attaching a hinge made out of toothpicks in the back of the mask. #WeAreRSU18
Belgrade Central’s student council hosted a COFFEE WITH COPS morning! It was tremendous and both SRO Tibbetts and SRO Lefferts were able to attend! They ate breakfast with the student council and then spoke to grades 3-5 about why they got into law enforcement and decided to work with kids. They even showed everyone their equipment and the cruiser! It was a hit! #WeAreRSU18
The first grade pumpkin tradition is back at Belgrade Central School! Each year, first grade students decorate a pumpkin in the form of a favorite story! BCS would like to thank the parents who assisted in making these amazing pumpkins that now line the first grade wing! #WeAreRSU18

Belgrade Central School’s second and third graders recently attended the Common Ground Fair and had an absolute blast! The classes had over 30 parents join and they are thankful to have such a great community! #WeAreRSU18

First graders at Belgrade Central School got right down to business – refreshing themselves on numbers, colors, and celebrating the start of school! Second graders spent time reconnecting with friends once returning to school and jumping right into academics and movement! Students worked on projects and took quick GoNoodle breaks to re-engage their brains with movement! Mrs. Condon’s class was also working hard and having fun at the start of September!
