Nonfiction March Madness
Nonfiction March Madness is in full swing at Belgrade Central School! The Dean of Students, Mrs. Moody, has organized the event for years at Williams Elementary School, but the BCS staff was excited to expand this tradition to students in grades PreK-5! BCS is loving the fun book pairings and fascinating topics that are included in their bracket this year! Not only have staff facilitated incredible conversations, but they have also extended the learning into other content areas. Teachers have connected the voting for book pairings into math class and organizing data. Mrs. Hansen’s class even made ice cream after reading the book The Ice Cream Man. They have loved their first round of “Book Battles” and can’t wait to see which contenders move onto the Elite 8 next week! Stay tuned! #WeAreRSU18
