Animal Experts in BCS Kindergarten
The Belgrade Kindergarten students have been busy researching, learning and sharing information about 2 Maine animals.
Ms. Arsenault’s class became experts about Maine Black Bears and Miss. Polk’s class learned all about Moose. The children used Lucy Calkins’ approach to writing non-fiction stories using facts they learned, diagrams and the writing process to create informational books. It only made sense for each expert to share their knowledge, so the children found a partner in another classroom to teach a friend what they had learned. The children were excited to share what they knew!
